Ellie is a miracle dog! She was rescued from Portales Animal Control not once; but twice! Her 3 to 4 years of life on this earth has been filled with instability & a lack of routine & structure. Because if this, at times she can be a little bossy; but intrinsically she is sweet, kind, & submissive. Ellie is all about fun! She loves to play & run. She has a true zest for life! She greets everyone with love & excitement. For all that she has been through; it is amazing how happy she is to embrace people & dogs that are new to her. She strikes the perfect balance of being accepting to strangers, but a watchdog when appropriate! She has blended beautifully with her canine foster sisters. She can be a puller on a leash, but has acclimated well to walking in a gentle Leader. She has a chase drive fot small animals, so keeping her on a leash when walking will ensure her safety for little creatures she may find interest in. Ellie is the epitome of love. She has been waiting for her forever home for far too long. Her foster Mom would keep her in a heartbeat if it wasn't for financial & space restraints.
