Tofu arrived at the rescue recently and hasn’t quite adjusted to all the changes. He’s a quiet presence, keeping a little distance, and seems unsure of everything around him. When given gentle pets and scratches, he responds, but there’s a sadness in his eyes, plain in his photos. Tofu came to us already neutered—he even has an ear tip as proof. He’s one of a small group of cats cared for by a young friend of the rescue, and you can see he’s more comfortable on his own terms. Tofu would really thrive in the calm of a true home, where he could finally relax and let some of his worries go. He gets along with other cats, and at five years old, he’s more interested in peace than excitement. He’d do so much better away from the stress of the shelter.
