About Rowan

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Rowan is strikingly beautiful, boasting a vibrant coat that reflects her unique and vivid personality—much like other colorful creatures in nature, her appearance is a signal to give her space. She is quite skittish and easily frightened, but displays absolutely no aggression, choosing instead to use her claws only in an attempt to quickly escape an uncomfortable situation. Rowan would be especially sensitive to an environment with young children whose movements might startle her. With a very high-strung temperament and a tendency to scare easily, Rowan requires an abundance of patience and understanding. Over time, in the care of a gentle and devoted person who gives her nourishing food and play, she has the potential to blossom. Rowan finds comfort in the companionship of her brother Ridley, and it’s vital that these two remain together as they navigate their world. Patience is especially important for Rowan—she will need ample time to settle in, and additional support during times of change. She’s never aggressive, just scared, preferring to retreat rather than defend. With steady, nonjudgmental patience and respect for her pace, Rowan may very well evolve into a loving and affectionate companion. Only time and gentle attention will reveal her full loving nature. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
