About Virginia

Virginia came into the shelter with her three brothers in April 2024, with nowhere else to turn. She lights up when she gets time in the yard and loves every second chasing after her brother Arrow and best friend Joplin—there’s hardly a faster pup out there. She’s still working on feeling confident with a leash, but she’s making progress, especially if snacks like hot dogs are in the deal for sitting politely. Virginia tends to be a little shy meeting new dogs, preferring to keep the peace rather than assert herself. Her siblings Benny and Leroy are on the larger side, giving the impression that their dad might have been a Great Dane, but Virginia and Arrow are more medium-sized and nimble. The volunteers here have gotten to know and love her gentle personality, and Virginia is ready for a home where she can blossom further—especially one with children for her to bond with.
