About Highway
Highway is an impressive young Anatolian Shepherd mix with a sharp look and plenty of growing left to do. Picked up from the side of Highway 51 outside Ripley, TN, he came into rescue after being left behind from a car — understandably unsure of people at first, but now making steady progress as he settles in. He has his shy moments, but he's playful and gaining confidence by the day. Highway already knows basic commands like "sit" and enjoys the company of other dogs. He handles a leash well and would pair nicely with someone who daily walks or runs. He also likes car rides and is open to adventure. As a puppy, he’s still figuring out routine potty breaks, so some patience with house training is recommended. Highway is fully vetted and his vaccinations are up-to-date. He’d love a family willing to invest time and patience into building his trust and helping him keep learning. Highway gets along with children, other dogs, and even cats — he’s ready to slide right into a new pack. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
