About Merry
Miss Merry, or 'Merrykins' to those who know her, is a blue mackerel tabby with a character that fills any room. Now about two years old and originally underweight at rescue, sheâs grown healthier and much sassier in her foster home. Merry wonât curl up on your lap, but sheâs never farâalways within reach, often chirping a running commentary. Sheâll keep you company, see you to the door, and greet you when you come back, never shy about starting a lively conversation. Toys, water glasses, and bedtime nearby are all part of her routine. Sheâs made big progress with odd habits like marking the sink and tub when overstimulated or excited, showing steady improvement as she settles into stable life. When she gets overwhelmed from too much affection, she might swat or nip in the excitement. For that reason, Merry shouldnât go to a home with small children or those with delicate skin. Sheâll thrive with a chatty, patient adopter who loves quirky cats and lets her rule the roost, especially if there arenât other dominant female cats. Merry gets along well with cats who let her be the queen and, while she hasnât met dogs yet, she might adapt to an easygoing, tolerant pup. Her soft short coat is low-maintenance and she doesnât shed much. Spayed, microchipped, and fully vetted, Merry is healthy and ready to bring her big personality to her forever home.
