About Tex
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Tex is a sweet and affectionate cattle dog mix who's ready to share his boundless love and energy with a caring family. In foster care, he has shown his good manners and outgoing personality, charming everyone he meets—both people and fellow canines. While Tex enjoys making new furry friends outside the home, he does best as the only dog in his household and is looking for a cat-free environment. Small children may be overwhelming for this energetic guy, so any kids in the home should be age 10 or older. Car rides are one of Tex's favorite adventures—he's always eager to hop in and wag his tail with excitement. He’s mastered crate training and is happy to use his cozy den when asked. Although active and playful, Tex adapts well to apartment living as long as he gets plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. He would thrive with someone experienced in handling dogs who understands how to keep him both happy and challenged. Tex will need some gentle reminders on house-training as he transitions into his new home, and it's recommended that his adopter enroll him in obedience training to ensure a smooth adjustment and help strengthen the bond between Tex and his new family. Give Tex the loving home he deserves and enjoy the companionship of a joyful and loyal friend. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
