About Socks
Socks brings a lot of heart to the table—a sweet, deeply friendly dog who has learned to savor her second chance. Rescued off a high-risk list in the South, she never takes a good day for granted. Socks is fully house trained and has picked up routines quickly. She could use a bit of fine-tuning on a leash, but she's sharp and improves fast. When the weather heats up, she’s delighted to take a swim and will happily splash around in her own little pool. Socks has been good with other dogs at the shelter and in her foster environment, though her social meter can be a bit selective, so meet-and-greet sessions are important—sometimes she’ll need more than one to warm up. She's not been tested with cats, and for families with children, she’s best matched with kids eight or older. A fenced yard is absolutely necessary for her, and both an approved application and a home visit are part of the process. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
