Sparkle
AvailableSparkle is a small, adult Cocker Spaniel with a graceful medium-length coat. She’s a spayed female, fully vaccinated, and has shown she is house trained. Now about 5 years and 10 months old, Sparkle resides in EAST LEROY, MI, and would do best in a peaceful, understanding home where she can thrive. Fun fact: with a July 30th birthday, she’s a Leo—typically bold when she knows she’s safe.
About Sparkle
Sparkle comes with a complicated past and a soft heart. Once used for breeding, she spent years in uncertain situations before finally landing in a home where she could exhale. She’s grown braver every day but still shys away from loud men or rambunctious children—she feels safest in a quiet, predictable environment. Sparkle’s slow adjustment to comfort means she now enjoys simple pleasures: eating well, snoozing in her chosen spot, and curling up nearby for TV nights. Sparkle does well with smaller, calmer dogs, and she’s even okay with cats. With bigger dogs, she can become anxious at mealtime, so a canine companion close to her own size fits best. Strangers at the yard get a warning bark, but inside she’s a mellow presence longing for affection. She’s still working on leash confidence, so a fenced yard isn’t optional—it’s vital for her safety and peace of mind. She’s house trained, medium-coated, spayed, and up to date on shots. Sparkle just wants a secure spot where someone will be patient as she finishes letting her guard down. Ready to welcome a gentle soul who will repay your care tenfold? Questions about Sparkle
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Cocker Spaniels like Sparkle typically do well in calm homes where they can feel secure and bond with their people. Apartments or houses with moderate activity suit them, as long as their need for attention and reassurance is met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Sparkle and other Cocker Spaniels benefit from regular access to a securely fenced yard, but their exercise needs can also be met with daily walks and playtime. They don’t require a huge yard but do need safe areas to explore.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Cocker Spaniels are generally gentle dogs but can be sensitive to noise and busy environments, like Sparkle. She is not comfortable around energetic children, so a home without young kids is best for her.
