About Calypso Houston
Meet Calypso Houston, an 11-year-old Italian Greyhound who has mastered the art of living slow and gentle. She’s a calm, thoughtful companion who is happiest when things are peaceful—her perfect day involves lounging near someone she loves, a few treats, and soft encouragement. Calypso gets along beautifully with other small dogs and children, but prefers to keep her circle limited to gentle company—no big dogs, please. Her ideal home is quiet, fenced, and has someone around most of the time, maybe with another Italian Greyhound or similar friend. She’s house- and leash-trained, can handle a dog door under supervision, and appreciates predictable routines. Calypso follows some basic commands and will gladly learn more for the right person. She’s living well with moderate degenerative valve disease, managed effectively with medication, but she’ll need someone who can keep up with her care. At night she’ll gladly curl up in her bed, a kennel, or right by your side. Calypso is in Argyle, TX and she’s ready to bring her gentle spirit and affection to a family who values softness over speed. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
