About Brownie
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Brownie, affectionately called Tank—a solid, lovable chunk of a dog with a heart as big as his appetite. Tank is incredibly food-motivated, and his mealtime announcements include a few dramatic, hungry grumbles that are both charming and hilarious. Tank gets along beautifully with other dogs. While he may not be the playful type, he truly enjoys their company and loves cuddling up with canine friends. He is also cat-friendly; if a cat tries to play, he may give a gentle chase but responds well to gentle correction and quickly settles down. Due to a neurological condition that causes him to drag his front paws, Tank doesn't go on walks, but that doesn’t slow down his enthusiasm for life. He loves chasing a ball around the house, basking in sunny napping spots, and curling up next to his person. When excited, Tank often carries something in his mouth—be it a toy, a shoe, or whatever he finds—to self-soothe, always willing to drop it upon request. Tank takes a bit of time to warm up to new people, but once trust is earned, he is fully devoted. With a difficult past behind him, he continues to blossom as he learns people can be kind, and his sweet nature emerges more every day. With a dash of bulldog charm and a world of love to offer, Tank is a mellow, affectionate companion who simply wants to be near his people. Gentle, loyal, and a true "good boy," Tank promises to be an absolute joy to any home. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
