Conrad is a 9-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer with a mellow, thoughtful way about him. Shelter life was rough on him, but since coming to Shawnee, KS, he's found some peace—and plenty of tennis balls to hoard. He goes at his own pace, never in a rush, happiest stretched out for a sun nap or tagging along for a quiet walk. Conrad’s leash manners are excellent, and he gets along seamlessly with other dogs and children alike. He’s got a fondness for people and pretty much everyone who meets him, falls for his calm confidence. Conrad is living with Cushing’s disease and a grade 5 heart murmur, so daily medication and regular vet care are part of his routine. He also manages a bit of arthritis, but you wouldn’t know it seeing how eagerly he trots to greet a friend or chase down a stray tennis ball. Conrad is house trained and has a deep, gentle patience that makes him easy to be around.
