About Ryker

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Ryker is an amazing and loving Doberman Pinscher, currently searching for a home that truly matches his unique needs. Early in life, he was rescued from a breeding facility and settled with one of his saviors, but as he matured, Ryker developed a strong preference for being the sole animal in the household. While he's wonderfully affectionate with people and never meets a stranger, he no longer tolerates dogs or cats and thrives most when he can have his people all to himself. Ryker is a mellow, quirky companion, delighting in gentle games like licking your fingers or lovingly holding your hand in his mouth—a sweet sign of his affection. He is completely crate trained, reliably house trained on schedule, and walks beautifully on a leash. Toys and chew bones are favorites (though he should avoid velour or Sherpa blankets). Ryker is also protective of his home and will give a deep, welcoming bark if wildlife approaches. A fenced yard is ideal for Ryker, as he must be the only dog or cat in the home to truly flourish. His current situation requires constant rotation and limited freedom due to other pets, so his foster hopes to find him a home where he can be unrestricted and cherished indoors and out. If you have a pet-free home, a fenced yard, and are ready to welcome this loyal, affectionate guy, Ryker could be the perfect new addition to your life. Ready to fall in love?
