All HSWA dogs are either at our Dog Adoption Facility or in foster homes. All dogs require an appointment to meet. Lola is a smart cookie and is doing so well in her training sessions with BARK University where she is learning good leash-walking skills and other good behaviors. Lola is looking for a family that will give her lots of opportunities to channel that energy and then share their couch, chair, and/or bed for relaxation after a hard day of playing! About Me: I certainly have a lot of energy, no doubt about it. But her former foster family will tell you that once I have gotten into a routine, I settle down wonderfully and become more of a chill, calm girl than the whirling dervish I may seem when you first meet me. Please don't hold that against me...It's just that I absolutely LOVE meeting new people and simply have trouble containing my excitement. I'm continuing my formal training while awaiting my forever family, and my instructors say that I am extremely smart and do really great - so I'd like the opportunity to show off my smarts and learn more things! I truly am sweet and good, and I love nothing more than getting in your lap...so if you know of anyone who has a lap they're willing to share forever, then I'm your girl! Breed: Whippet / Terrier mix Age: Approx 1.5 years old (as of Jan 2025) Weight: Currently around 40 lbs. Fitness: Active Kids: Love kids! Older ones might be more my speed since I have been told that I can be rambunctious. Other Dogs / Animals: May depend on the dog. Probably would be happier as an only dog. All HSWA dogs available for adoption are up-to-date on vet care, are heartworm-negative, have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.
