About Kia
Kia's background is one of ups and downs. She started life as a cherished puppy, handpicked and cared for by a family who saw to her needs, vaccinations, and made sure she was spayed. Then circumstances shifted, and Kia found herself left behind—reasons unknown to her, though she kept her good spirit. Luckily, she landed in a safe place where people recognized her character. Even as a focus on urgent husky rescue took center stage, Kia’s spark set her apart. She’s a classic husky: creative escape artist, resourceful, and loyal. Fences aren’t much of an obstacle; if Kia wants an adventure, she’ll find her way out, make her rounds, and return when she’s good and ready. Treats and a well-timed “sit” command are the key to her heart—she loves earning a snack for showing off. High-energy bursts and exuberant zoomies are everyday events for Kia. She’s just as keen on affection, happy to flop over for belly rubs and soak up attention. Kia has blended well with dog packs but would also thrive as a solo dog with her people and her own space. Above all, she’s looking for a home where she’s understood and loved, with plenty of room for play and rest. Kia’s sixth birthday falls under Aquarius, a sun sign known for independence and playfulness—traits she embodies. She’s simply wishing for a family that sticks around.
