About Maximillion
Maximillion’s story has had its share of tough turns. This big, handsome Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador mix found happiness once, settling into a loving home in Pennsylvania—blanketed in attention, daily affection, and a real sense of belonging. But life changed course: his devoted adopter can no longer keep up due to serious illness and the rules of her new caregiving situation. Maximillion has adjusted with impressive patience and gentleness, but he needs more than the quiet life he’s living now. Though he’s about 6 years old, Maximillion approaches each day with a young dog’s curiosity. He’s just as eager for a car ride or a stretch in the yard as he is for sprawling naps under blankets. His idea of a good time runs from adventurous hikes to sprawling across any lap he deems worthy—regardless of the available space. He’s sharp and well-trained; he even had professional leash lessons to set him up for success at home. Loyal, resilient, and food-motivated, Maximillion always aims to please and picks up new routines quickly. He’s overcome a rough early start, surviving homelessness and a stay at a high-intake shelter with heartworm treatment, neutering, and all his necessary vet care. Despite setbacks, his attitude never changed—he loves freely and bonds hard. Maximillion would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and people who want a true companion. He does best with older kids, as he sometimes forgets his size. Above all, he wants to be included, whether on a long trek or curled up for movie night. Click apply to start the adoption process.
