About Caleb
Start your journey together! Apply now. Caleb is a happy-go-lucky six-year-old terrier mix with a contagious joy for life, most notably shown through his absolute love of giving face kisses. He’s a delightfully affectionate companion who never hesitates to make new human friends—everyone is greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. Caleb loves nothing more than sharing snuggles with people, though he is a bit more particular about his canine pals and prefers to pick his four-legged friends carefully. Earlier this year, Caleb’s caretakers discovered a few lumps, prompting biopsies that revealed mast cell tumor (MCT) disease on a mass removed from his left thigh. Thankfully, this tumor was found to be low grade, which typically means it’s less likely to spread and often can be fully removed. However, Caleb, like many other middle-aged terrier mixes, could develop additional tumors over time, so regular veterinary monitoring of any new lumps will be important. To help protect his health, Caleb is currently treated with easy, inexpensive, over-the-counter antihistamines—an ongoing regimen adopted for extra precaution, largely to prevent any stomach issues or allergic reactions. Despite his medical journey, Caleb’s spirit is absolutely undiminished. He is seeking a loving home that will cherish his affectionate personality and remain mindful of his health needs, especially his tendency to be selective with other pets. He is not suited for a home with cats, but he gets along well with other dogs and is especially gentle with children. Born on March 10, Caleb is a Pisces, reflecting his sensitive and loyal nature that makes him truly endearing. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
