About Lizzo
Start your journey together! Apply now. Lizzo is a gentle young pup who came into rescue from Highlands County animal services along with her sister, Lego. At just 6 months old and weighing about 25 pounds, Lizzo is a Labrador Retriever mix who has puppy lymphedema, a condition that requires her to be on prednisone for life. Despite her medical needs, she is incredibly sweet—though understandably a little shy and scared as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Lizzo has shown she does well with other dogs, cats, and respectful children, making her a lovely choice for a family looking for a special addition. Her rescue team will work carefully to match her with the right home, prioritizing the dogs’ needs above all else. They may request photos of your home to ensure it’s a good fit, and adopters must be at least 21 years old. Lizzo’s adoption fee helps support her care, and she will go home spayed, with up-to-date vaccinations and a microchip included. The rescue reserves the right to deny applications for the best interests of the dog. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
