Kydo
AvailableKydo lives in Little Rock, AR and is a young male Labrador Retriever with a medium build. He is about 1 year and 6 months old. Kydo is already neutered and current on his vaccinations, making him ready for his next adventure. His affectionate personality comes out once he feels safe, and his shyness means he'll do best in a calm, patient environment.
About Kydo
Kydo has a deep brown and white coat and classic lab mix features, with a sturdy frame—at 41 pounds, he’s not too big and not too small. Born under a Scorpio sun on November 12, 2024, Kydo started life with little human contact, hiding out under an abandoned house with his brother. He’s grown up shy, easily overwhelmed by new faces and loud sounds. You’ll see it in the shelter: Kydo keeps his distance at first, eyes wide and wary, tail tucked. Earning his trust takes time, likely several quiet introductions. But when Kydo recognizes a steady hand and kindness, he softens up—takes treats, leans in for head scratches, and reveals his gentle side. He’s already showing positive signs with other dogs, playing well during shelter yard breaks. Still, he’ll need a patient home that doesn’t expect him to be social out the gate. Introductions should be gradual. He’s looking for calm, understanding adopters who let him set the pace. For everyone’s safety, only approved applicants can visit Kydo.
