About Bria

Bria is a smart, spunky, and energetic 58-pound Pointer/Hound mix who just finished the Leash on Life Prison Pup Program with high marks. She’s spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccinations, and ready for her next adventure. Bria loves walks, sniffing out critters, and has a high prey drive—chasing, tugging, and playing fetch are her favorite ways to burn off energy. She’s highly intelligent and food-motivated, picking up commands quickly and responding to both verbal cues and hand signals. Bria already knows “sit,” “down,” “stay,” “come,” “no,” “off,” “leave it,” and “place,” plus a roster of fun tricks, including paw, high five, roll over, speak, and even a backflip off your chest. Confident and affectionate, Bria would do best as the only dominant dog in the household, as she tends to be dog-reactive. She could share a home with a submissive dog or a puppy, provided introductions go slowly. Bria has a strong prey drive, so cats and birds are out, but she craves human companionship and loves to cuddle after a busy day. An active adult or teen home would be ideal—she’s happiest with structure, stimulation, and clear expectations. Bria appreciates letting new people come to her at her own speed, but a few treats always help her warm up. Ever the teacher’s pet, she even likes to visit classrooms and accepts head scratches from students who respect her space. If you’re up for walks, games, and the rewards of a clever, devoted dog, Bria will thrive with you. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
