About Stella
Start your journey together! Apply now. This special kitten is searching for a loving and patient human who can offer her the future she deserves. Stella is a playful, affectionate, and lively little girl with a huge heart, but she faces unique medical needs that require unwavering dedication and daily care. Stella, along with her mother and siblings, was rescued from abandonment near a wooded business—her journey to safety is testament to her resilience. Stella is a bobtail kitten with no visible tail, and she may require lifelong medication, regular vet visits, and gentle interventions if she has trouble passing stool. She is suspected to have megacolon, which affects her ability to control her bowels. While she pees in the litter box, she doesn't always realize when she is pooping, so stool may occasionally be found around the house. She will need frequent bottom wipes and may require gentle manual assistance to remove impacted stool. Her caregiver must keep a close watch to ensure she's able to urinate regularly and maintain her comfort. Despite these needs, Stella is spirited, sweet, and curious—her playfulness and love shine through every day. A regular, simple diet helps keep her comfortable, and she remains full of zest and wonder. Stella needs someone who can commit to her medication regimen, hygiene care, and regular monitoring. She’s available as a long-term foster or foster-to-adopt, allowing her caregiver and the rescue to determine what works best for her ongoing health. While her condition may be lifelong and progressive, the rescue's priority is always her quality of life. If you have experience with special needs pets, or the heart to support a truly deserving soul, Stella is ready to meet you and begin her new chapter. Ready to fall in love?
