About Penny
Bright shiny pennies are thought to bring good fortune, and Penny certainly adds some luck wherever she goes. Penny currently holds the title of longest resident at the Humane Society of El Paso. She spent considerable time in a foster home, growing in confidence and learning what it means to be a true companion. Now, she’s back at the shelter and eager to find her permanent family. She’s sweet, curious, and loves affection—though she can be shy when meeting new faces. Penny has a real passion for walks and hiking, but also enjoys downtime as a quiet, gentle cuddle buddy. She blossoms once she leaves the shelter behind. Smart and always up for a little adventure, Penny is ready to explore the world with someone by her side. Penny does not get along with cats but does well with other dogs. Stop in and see Penny for yourself; she’s sure to bring a smile your way. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
