About Maple

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet precious, tiny Maple! Maple was discovered as a stray with her two adorable babies, and thanks to a compassionate finder, this little family was fed daily and eventually fostered in a loving home. Now, Maple is living her best life indoors and quickly becoming a favorite with everyone she meets. According to her foster, Maple is an exceptionally affectionate 6-pound brown tabby who delights in ear scratches and belly rubs, returning your kindness with gentle kisses. She is gradually growing into a lap cat, though she prefers to keep her paws on the ground rather than being picked up. Maple gets along well with other cats and would likely thrive in a home with gentle children. She hasn't met dogs yet, but with patient introductions, she may do just fine. This sweet girl has been spayed and is adjusting beautifully to all the comforts a forever family can offer. All cats and kittens from Humane Society of Calloway County are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, provided with vet-approved flea prevention, spayed or neutered, and microchipped for peace of mind. Volunteers lovingly socialize each cat, develop good litter box habits, and get to know their personalities in foster homes or office settings to find each kitty's perfect match. Please note: All of our cats are adopted as indoor-only pets and may not be declawed. We do not ship or fly cats, but if you can pick up Maple in person in Murray, KY, out-of-state adoption is possible. Selected adopters will have an opportunity for their family and existing pets to meet Maple before any commitment is made. Maple is a Gemini, which means she is likely to be curious, playful, and loves companionship! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
