About Shine

Shine is a five-year-old Husky mix in Houston, TX, looking for a family open to her unique challenges and bright personality. Born with intramural ectopic ureters—a congenital issue that causes urinary incontinence—she’s already undergone corrective surgery as a puppy, which improved, but didn’t eliminate, her urinary leakage. Shine remains consistently happy, healthy, and vaccinated. She’s spayed and tested negative for heartworm. Crate trained and playful, Shine loves her toys, chews, and hanging out with other friendly dogs. She enjoys dipping her feet in the pool and has a typical Husky love for the outdoors but, thanks to her petite size, she doesn’t jump fences like some of her breed. She does shed quite a bit, so regular brushing and a good vacuum are a must. Shine’s ideal home is compassionate, practical, and ready to accept and manage her incontinence with a loving, realistic approach. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
