About Mercury
Mercury is a spirited four-year-old, 100% Pit Bull Terrier (DNA tested), whose three-legged stride barely slows his playful energy. Weighing in at around 40 pounds, he chases toys with determination and shows sheer joy when playing ball or tug with his people. Give him a minute to get comfortableâhe starts out wary with strangersâbut once youâre in his circle, heâs loyal and affectionate, soaking up your attention and doling out puppy-dog eyes for more scritches. Mercuryâs manners are polished. He walks well on leash, stays calm when seeing other dogs out and about, and redirects easily if distracted. Although not yet house trained, Mercury is eager to learn and wonât turn down a treatâhe takes them with a gentle mouth. Mercury doesnât get along with other dogs but does get along with cats, making him best as the only dog in the home but fine for feline households. He thrives with interactive play and someone looking for a devoted, playful companion whoâs as loving as he is lively. Mercury is currently in Phoenix, AZ, waiting for his forever family.
