Mercury is a spirited four-year-old, 100% Pit Bull Terrier (DNA tested), whose three-legged stride barely slows his playful energy. Weighing in at around 40 pounds, he chases toys with determination and shows sheer joy when playing ball or tug with his people. Give him a minute to get comfortable—he starts out wary with strangers—but once you’re in his circle, he’s loyal and affectionate, soaking up your attention and doling out puppy-dog eyes for more scritches. Mercury’s manners are polished. He walks well on leash, stays calm when seeing other dogs out and about, and redirects easily if distracted. Although not yet house trained, Mercury is eager to learn and won’t turn down a treat—he takes them with a gentle mouth.
