Shadow’s early days were tough—living under a shed, wary of people, and surviving outdoors before her rescue. She needed to be trapped for TNR, but the moment she arrived it was obvious she wasn’t feral. She meowed for attention and tolerated people from the start. After time to settle, Shadow’s calm, gentle nature shone through. She’s skittish and slow to trust, but she allows handling and enjoys petting once she feels secure. Shadow needs a calm, patient adopter—ideally someone with experience around shy cats but that isn’t a strict requirement. Households with young children aren’t the best fit since she needs consistency and quiet to flourish. She gets along well with other cats and would do especially well with a confident feline companion. Her future family should be willing to love her for who she is, even if she always stays a little reserved. Shadow is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, flea-treated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV/FeLV/HW, and eartipped from her TNR days.
