About Evie
Evie started out on the streets of San Antonio, Texas, facing long odds before animal control picked her up. She ended up in a high-intake shelter, but volunteers saw something special in herāand their affection caught our attention. We brought Evie to New York, where her foster dad now sings her praises. Coming from the street to an apartment building didnāt slow Evie down. It took her only a day to warm up, and now she treats neighbors like old friendsāa true one-dog welcoming committee. Sheās playful, adores her walks (though she could use some leash training to curb her enthusiasm), and sheās always ready to nap with her foster dad after a day of fun. Evie gets along well with other dogs and would fit in with a family that has older kids. Given sheās about 50 lbs, a home with small children may not be the best fit simply due to her size. Cats remain an unknown for her. Evie stands out as a loving, friendly spirit whoās easy to fall for. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
