About Sweet Afghanistan

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Sweet Afghanistan, an endearing orange tabby Domestic Short Hair who has made an inspiring journey from Afghanistan to find his forever home in the U.S. He’s a neutered male, around four years old and weighs about 9 pounds. After his travels, Sweet arrived understandably stressed and has taken time to regain his confidence. He’s now blossoming into a gentle, affectionate companion who delights in quiet environments and gentle attention once he trusts you. This special boy is good with other cats and absolutely must have a feline friend for company—his foster best pal is Charlotte, so they could be adopted together or he’ll fit wonderfully into a home with another social cat. Sweet prefers a calm home and would do best with older, considerate children, as he’s too spirited for small kids. He thrives on wet food due to dental issues (he had 20 teeth removed) but hasn’t let that slow him down from enjoying life! Loud noises and over-handling make him anxious, so an understanding adopter is a great match for this resilient boy. A fun fact about Sweet Afghanistan: with a birthday in early September, he is a Virgo—a sign known for gentleness and loyalty. Consider welcoming this courageous and loving companion into your life.
