Charlie arrived back in June 2024, and now, at 9 years old, he’s settled into his senior years with some stories to tell. When he first came in, he was skin and bones and covered with sores—plus, his tail’s been broken at some point, but it doesn’t slow down his wag. Charlie has seizures, though medication keeps them pretty much at bay; his meds run around $20 each month, and he'll need bloodwork every six months. Despite everything, he’s fully housebroken, loves sharing a bed with his person, and gets along with other animals. He’s also comfortable with kids. Walks are a highlight for him, though he’s on the hefty side, weighing in at almost 25 pounds—ideally, he’d trim down closer to 18.
