About Sabrina
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Sabrina’s journey is a testament to resilience and gentle spirit. After being left behind when her family moved, neighbors watched as she patiently waited for her people to return. Sadly, she had also suffered multiple fractures to her pelvis before being rescued, likely from being hit by a car. Thankfully, Sabrina is now on the mend in her loving foster home, receiving the care she needs to heal from her injuries. Her foster family has followed a careful routine of rest and gentle activity, and Sabrina’s progress has been remarkable—she remains under veterinary supervision with all necessary medical expenses covered while she recovers. Sabrina is a model companion with impeccable manners. She is house trained (using a dog door but possibly even without one), enjoys her meals, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs in her foster home. She is also leash trained and appreciates a quiet stroll, although traffic is still frightening for her. Sabrina forms strong attachments to her humans quickly and is as gentle as she is undemanding, content to relax at your feet or cozy up in her bed. While she hasn’t been tested with cats or small children, her calm nature suggests she may adapt well. Her continued recovery will require a home where she won’t be encouraged to jump or play hard. Sabrina will thrive in almost any loving environment, but she’s looking for a family in the Phoenix metro area who can provide a securely fenced yard and work closely with Help A Dog Smile Rescue throughout her rehabilitation. If you’re ready to support her journey to full health and open your heart to an exceptionally sweet dog, Sabrina would love to meet you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
