Cosmo is a 2-year-old purebred Australian Shepherd living in Driftwood, TX. He spent his early life in an outdoor pen and is still learning what it means to be part of a home. Despite limited socialization, he comes with a gentle and sweet coreāonce he warms up, youāll get all the kisses you could want. Cosmo is shy at first but surprisingly easy for handlers to manage, even for vet visits or grooming. He loves playing with other dogs, joining you for leashed walks, and cozying up on the couch for some TV. His energy sits lower than most Aussies, and heās happiest in a calm household. Cosmo struggles with being alone; separation anxiety kicks in if left for more than a few hours, so ideal adopters are homebodiesāmaybe remote workers or homemakers. He needs a confident dog companion to show him the ropes and keep him company. Crating is tough for Cosmo; a broken tooth from bar-biting means he canāt be crated for extended periods. House training is a work in progressāhe wears a belly band, but accidents are getting rarer. Cosmo does not resource guard or show aggression, and his play is submissive.
