About Buttercup
Buttercup is a sassy Chihuahua/Terrier mix with around 6ā7 years of life experience, coming in at a lively 14 pounds. She spent months surviving on her own and, as a result, takes time to trust new peopleābut once youāre in, youāre in. Buttercup is happiest when sunbathing in the yard, strolling the neighborhood, or sharing quiet company with another calm dog. Food and treats are the way to her heart (as long as you skip the produce aisle). Sheās house-trained, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on leash, already knowing commands like "come," "crate," and "leave it," though sheās not interested in using a doggy door. Her health is in good order: she's spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, but she does need some seasonal allergy support. Buttercup does best in an adult-only home, preferably with a confident female adopter, a securely fenced yard, and another mellow dog companion for reassurance. Children overwhelm her, so a kid-free setting is essential. Sheāll need someone willing to give her space and patience as she opens up. Buttercupās hoping for a safe, loving place in the Phoenix metro area where she can finally relax. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
