Tommy and his buddy were running the streets in a small town out in the country.  For three days, these wily pups eluded capture, even bypassing a trap with yummy snacks in order to maintain their "independence."  Times got tough, however, and eventually Tommy and his pal Bingo approached a child for help. All of that freedom had become just a little too scary.  Tommy is a bit shy upon first meeting but he warms up very quickly.  Something about his fear of quick movements tells us he may have been mistreated in the past, so caregivers are working with Tommy on his confidence and trust.  Toys and treats win him over quickly, and Tommy loves it when his humans are proud of him.   He is learning to walk on his leash like a fine gentleman and he very much enjoy one-on-one time with people.  He is a nice friend to most of the other dogs, but he can be a bit selective, so Tommy will need to meet any potential canine siblings prior to going to his new home.
