About Gilly

Gilly had a rough start when he first arrived at the shelter—he wanted nothing to do with anyone. Over time and with the right person, he revealed his softer side and flourished in a family that included a child and another dog. He settled into domestic life and was a devoted companion until circumstances changed and his people brought him back. Losing his home hit him hard. It took months before he started to trust shelter staff again. Now, Gilly is calmer and seems comfortable, but you can tell part of him still aches for a quiet home of his own. He gets along with his dog friends at the shelter and genuinely cares for those he lets into his circle, but he’s particular about his people and still has an independent streak. Gilly has a loyal, loving side once he feels safe. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
