About Irving
Irving is a small, sweet toy mix who weighs about 8.5 pounds and was born on March 6th, 2024. He is neutered and fully vaccinated, with a healthy mouth and a gentle, reserved manner. At first, Irving comes off shy and will need time to warm up, but once he trusts you, you’ll notice his playful and funny side. A secure fenced yard is a must since he still spooks easily and likes being outside—sometimes so much that you’ll need to coax him back in. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and would do best with older, thoughtful kids. Irving is nearly house trained, using the puppy door and loving to play with toys and friends. He’s crate trained but does fine loose in the house, barely ever barking, so he works in spaces with shared walls. Irving is clever, sometimes mischievous—he’s got a quirky habit of going after feet and giving gentle ear and hair nibbles, but never hurts. At night, he prefers curling up in bed with his people or in a cozy spot with his dog friends. Born under Pisces, he might surprise you with his affectionate, sensitive side. Questions about Irving
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Irving, a Havanese/Miniature Poodle mix, does well in homes where people are around often and can offer companionship. He thrives in an environment where he can feel secure, ideally with a fenced yard, and with people or companion pets.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A small but secure yard works well for Irving. Given his shy nature and playful streak, he needs safe outdoor space for exercise and play, as he enjoys being outside and needs help transitioning back indoors at times.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Irving gets along with older, considerate kids and is generally a good match for respectful children. Young or rambunctious kids may be overwhelming for him due to his shy temperament.
