About Donnie
Start your journey together! Apply now. Donnie is a dog with heart, embodying incredible resilience and gentleness. His journey began with hardship, as a submissive soul rescued from a terrible situation where he was used as a bait dog. Thanks to quick-thinking good Samaritans, Donnie was rushed to safety and given emergency surgery, then allowed to recover in a loving foster home on a soft bed rather than a cold kennel. Despite his traumatic experience, Donnie has always shown a sweet, affectionate nature. His foster reported that he was gentle and eager for companionship, though unfortunately, her resident dog wasnβt welcoming, leading Donnie temporarily back to the shelter. Overcrowding placed him at risk again, but a compassionate rescue coordinator and kind foster stepped in, giving him the nurturing environment he deserved since last August. Donnie has flourished with his foster family, showing nothing but love to their children and never displaying fearfulness. He is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, housebroken, adores walks, and loves to cuddle. With his watchful yet gentle temperament, Donnie would make a wonderful addition to any family looking for a loyal friend with a truly loving spirit. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
