Oro is one of our most recent arrivals to join us here at the Head Butt Hotel, after being faced with an impending euthanasia for a very avoidable health issue, we commonly and easily resolve. He's one of the lucky ones, who came very close to an untimely death, but veterinary incompentance and lack of education on proper breed specific nutrition for cats, being obligate carnivores. Oro would thrive in a home with other cats, where he could receive the human companionship that he grew up with, from the day he was adopted from a high kill shelter. We are a "Protect the Pets" rescue with established nutritional protocols for our obligate carnivorous cats. We mandate responsible vaccination protocols and titer testing with Kansas State Veterinary Lab, in order to provide continuous protection and compliancy with the Rabies Control Act of South Carolina Rabies Statute Section 47-5-60. Please ensure your vet recognizes titers and is willing to offer affordable titer testing versus blindly overdosing pets with unnecessary vaccinations which contribute to the 50% national cancer rates being newly diagnosed annually in 10 million companion animals. The health of our pets is our main priority, and we require our nutritional and vaccination protocols be maintained. We will not allow our pets to be subjected to even a second unnecessary vaccination overdose, when checking titers can easily be incorporated into annual wellness exams for our animals.
