Penny’s journey has given her a cautious streak; years of growing anxiety in her last home have left her with some fear-based reactivity, but since returning, she’s been making solid progress in a foster home surrounded by experienced handlers. She lives with five dogs and four cats, coexisting thanks to active management and clear routines. Penny’s ideal adopter either has no other pets or plenty of experience handling complex group dynamics and reactivity in dogs. With a structured routine and trust, she forms a deep, loyal bond—her affection is genuine, but on her own terms, and she’s a little cat-like in that way. Kids who respect boundaries do fine around her. Penny is energetic: she loves to sprint after rabbits, fetch, and explore, but needs exercise with people and animals she knows, not busy dog parks. She’s happiest with activities that combine fun and safety, matched with plenty of cuddle time.
