About Socrates
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Socrates! This clever young pup came to the rescue as a tiny baby with his mom and a bustling crew of 10 siblings. Socrates is highly intelligent—sometimes outsmarting even the humans around him! He absolutely loves a good rough-and-tumble play session with his pals, yet also cherishes calm moments filled with gentle head pats. Because of his strong prey drive, he’ll do best alongside other large dogs; smaller companions or small animals are not a fit for him. If you have experience with large breeds and maybe even another big canine buddy, Socrates could seamlessly fit right in with your family. It’s important to know that Socrates has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), a condition that means he needs enzyme supplements (Pancreplus powder) added to his meals for life. He thrives on three meals of puppy food each day to stay healthy and happy. You’ll appreciate how his resilient, loving nature shines through with every interaction. Fun fact: Born on February 19th, Socrates is a Pisces—a true gentle soul. If you’re ready for a smart, energetic companion and can meet his dietary needs, Socrates is eager to bring his joyful personality into your home. Think you are the one? Submit an application!
