About Kira

Kira has spent the most time with us out of any resident, making her well-known around here. She came in as a stray this March, extremely shut down and scared of her new surroundings. Earning Kira’s trust is not instant—she needs slow introductions and patient people, but for those who put in the time, she blossoms. Once settled, Kira shows her playful, affectionate side and is quick to ask for cuddles. She often tries to curl her eighty-pound self into your lap like she’s a toy dog. Kira is very selective with other dogs and will need multiple careful meet and greets if there’s already a dog in the home. Still, she has shown she can play well with some with the right setup. She reliably gets along with cats, so feline siblings are welcome. Kira stands out for both her shy side and loyal, cuddly devotion. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
