About Shamus
Shamus got a tough start to life, arriving at the shelter as a wounded kitten with injuries likely caused by an attack. Thanks to patience and solid care, he's not only recovered but seems to have left that hard chapter behind entirely. About a year old now, Shamus carries a little hip dysplasia, so a faint limp sometimes shows—though it doesn't keep him from tearing through the room at full speed or wrestling with his feline buddies. His playful zoomies are as energetic as any cat’s, and he never passes up a cuddle or a soft spot beside his friends. This young guy thrives on affection. He has a gentle nature, appreciates every bit of attention, and is genuinely grateful for people who care. Shamus gets along easily with other cats and children and has the kind, open personality of an animal who knows what it means to be rescued. He’s not just looking for a roof and a meal—he’s looking for that real sense of home and a human (or humans) who truly want to share quiet nights and silly afternoons with him. Shamus is ready for a family that wants a sweet, resilient companion with a bright spark and plenty of love to give. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
