About Rocco
Rocco has a big, soft presence that's hard not to love. After a weekend in a foster home, it's clear he's a calm, gentle soul—sometimes happy to lounge alone, but always ready to curl up next to you for a quiet snuggle. He gets a little nervous in new spaces, but tries to adapt and find his groove. Rocco is mostly low-key, quietly keeping watch out the window or plopping his weight onto your lap. No signs of prey drive; birds and squirrels are just more scenery to him. He does well with other dogs on walks and likely could co-exist with the right cat, though any introductions should be slow and supervised. Stairs intimidate him at the moment and crate training is a work in progress. Rocco has some allergies, easily managed with over-the-counter meds. Despite being adored by staff and volunteers at Scituate Shelter, he’s been overlooked for too long. Rocco comes with a Take My Lead grant from Handsome Dan’s Rescue, covering up to $500 in private training and supplies. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
