O’Malley is one of our longest residents. He is the epitome of “orange cat energy.” He is so silly & fun to have around. He loves to play and explore. While he is an active, curious cat- there is nothing he loves more than to be loved. O’Malley will purr for hours as long as your petting him. He doesn’t like energetic dogs, but he seems to be okay with calm ones that don’t try to pester him. He is FIV+. This means he has a weakened immune system, and it is imperative that he remain an INDOOR ONLY cat. He is very healthy, but if he was exposed to an illness- that could change quickly. Some suggest FIV cats should be isolated from other cats. And some suggest FIV cats can live communally with non-FIV cats with very little risk of the virus being transmitted between them - unless the cat is a fighter and gives another cat a serious bite, which is rare with properly introduced household cats. You can speak to your primary vet to get their opinion.
