Meet Shaw! Shaw is an energetic, playful, and super sweet boy who is fully potty trained and very well-behaved in the house. He doesn't need to be crated when you leave, rarely barks, and loves to curl up on the couch with soft blankets. He knows sit, shake, and wait, and sleeps in his crate at night. Shaw LOVES toys, especially balls, and is great at fetch and jumping to catch. He'll bring toys to you when he wants to play or entertain himself pushing them around. He's a cuddly guy who loves to rest his head on you... but he's also a big licker! Giving him a toy helps redirect his excitement so he can enjoy calm snuggles. Shaw can be nervous with new people and needs slow introductions, especially inside the home. He currently lives with kids 10 and 14, but can be anxious around younger or unfamiliar children. Treats, toys, and being ignored at first help him warm up. He's much more comfortable meeting new people out and about and at our adoption center and meets new dogs easily. Speaking of dogs, Shaw loves them. A playful dog companion would be ideal to help build his confidence and keep him busy. He enjoys walks, has lots of energy, and would do great with an active family. A fenced yard is a bonus, but he also does well on a tie-out. Shaw is goofy, affectionate, athletic, and so much fun. He just needs a patient, understanding home with older kids and a playful dog friend. Once he trusts you, he'll be your loyal, loving, cuddly buddy.
