Whisper
AvailableWhisper is a 1 year and 7 month old neutered male pit bull terrier/mixed breed in Fairfax, VA. He’s medium-sized, up to date on vaccinations, and was born deaf but makes up for it with keen intuition. Whisper has a gentle, sweet nature and is looking for a caring adopter who can appreciate his unique perspective on the world.
About Whisper
Whisper is a gentle, intuitive young dog who moves through life in his own quiet way. Born deaf, he relies on his foster mom and canine friends to guide him, and he’s quick to pick up new things—already mastering several ASL signs. Cuddles, crinkle toys, and observing the world from a sunny spot are some of Whisper’s favorite activities. While playtime with other dogs brings out his joyful, sometimes overly eager side, Whisper’s energy typically stays moderate. He needs dog friends who are both patient and kind, since he won’t pick up on vocal cues or corrections. The most rewarding part of Whisper’s day is curling up for a good snuggle, and his sweet, calm presence brings comfort to any room. He isn’t much for fetch, unless snagging the ball gets another dog’s attention. Ready to provide a loving, understanding home for a dog who hears with his heart? Your new best friend is just one click away.
