About Sydney

Click apply to start the adoption process. Sydney is a stunning, intelligent, and gentle girl who is bursting with love and sweetness. Playful and eager to please, she's already house-trained and shows off her unique charm with a very short tail that seems to fuel her joyful whole-body wiggles whenever she spots someone special. Sydney is highly intelligent—she picks up new commands and toy names quickly, often anticipating what is being asked of her before you're done speaking. She delights in spending time outdoors with her favorite people and dog companion, especially reveling in adventures through the woods. While she loves neighborhood walks, the forest holds a special place in her heart. Sydney is devoted to her humans and wants to please, but she can sometimes find the world a bit overwhelming. She needs a "safe space" where she can retreat when she feels anxious and warms up slowly to new people and environments. Though she’s usually cautious, she is happiest meeting women and can be comfortable with younger men, but may not thrive in homes with older men. She has shown she can coexist peacefully with cats, and while initially timid around other dogs, she soon blossoms with a confident, playful canine friend—her foster home videos capture her exuberance once she’s settled. A meet and greet is required prior to adoption, as Sydney would blossom best with experienced adopters who understand anxious dogs and can offer patience and encouragement on her continued journey out of her shell. Sydney is a Gemini—Gemini dogs are known for their lively and curious spirit! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
