Markus' estimated DOB is 05/15/2019 and he's a black Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix. He was found in Mark Twain National Forest. He was terrified and didn't understand where he was - a few different families had been rotating feeding him for days until someone decided to see if he'd hop into their truck. Markus instantly knew to load up, and the rest is history! Markus has the potential to make a really great pet for just the right home. He has some barrier-aggression tendencies in the shelter environment, but a family took a chance on him and brought him home. While he was with that family, we learned that Markus bonds very strongly with his one person and he is very protective of that person. The perks of Markus are that he's already potty trained, walks great on a leash, loves car rides, doesn't make messes and is great at keeping himself busy as long as he has a toy. He loves to be involved with what you are doing and especially loves to play ball & will even bring it back! Markus's ideal forever home would allow him to be the only dog in an adult only home, he does get along with cats. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped.
