About Iris
Iris has a gentle spirit and takes her time warming up to new faces, a result of spending most of her early life in a sheltered environment. Once she lets her guard down, Iris’s playful and goofy nature comes to life—she becomes a whirlwind of silly moments and genuine affection. She’s a fan of rolling on the cement (sidewalks, patios—she’ll take them over grass any day), adores her toys, and thrives on sharing affection. Every bit of love you give is returned tenfold. Iris is roughly 5 years old, medium-sized, and has a short white or cream coat. She’s good with older, respectful children and has always lived with other dogs, though she’s happiest around calmer canine friends. She does not do well with cats. Iris will do best with a patient adopter willing to let her settle in at her own pace. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will brighten your life once she feels safe, she’s ready to meet you. Click apply to start the adoption process.
