Coco is an American Staffordshire Terrier with a bicolor short coat, living in Killeen, TX. She’s a young, medium-sized female—about 1 year and 10 months old. Coco is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She does have some special needs due to her disability, but she takes it all in stride.

About Coco

Coco is a spirited one—she may have lost her back legs, but she hasn't lost her spark. When she was still a pup, an old injury made her back legs unusable, and after trying to get by with dragging or hopping, the decision was made to amputate for her own comfort. It worked. Coco now navigates life on her own terms, zipping around on custom boogie and skate boards made just for her. Wheels and ready-to-roll pads keep her moving fast and happy. With people and dogs, Coco’s got plenty of opinions. She’s play-happy and feisty at first, but gets along with many dogs after a proper introduction, and she’s devoted to other pups with special needs like her best buddy Joey. Coco doesn’t fuss over cats much; she’s indifferent. She does best with older kids who respect her boundaries, since she’s prone to playful nips when she gets excited in a game. Her routine is a team effort: regular potty breaks, making sure her skin stays healthy, and helping her snug into mobility gear for the day. She's spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and only takes a daily D-Mannose for UTI prevention—no medications otherwise. Coco will need an adopter who's committed to her care and ready for a bold, funny, disabled dog with lots of heart. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
