About Velma
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Velma is a reserved, thoughtful soul who often prefers the company of her sister Daphne and her fellow kittens. Once she feels safe among her siblings, her playfulness and protective instincts shine through, and she isn’t shy about asserting herself. With her sister, she tends to be the one keeping a keen eye on her surroundings, always ready to step up for her family. Though shy with new people, Velma needs a fair amount of patience and space to adjust to change. She can become overwhelmed in unfamiliar circumstances, resulting in anxious or hissy behavior, but when she’s had time to settle in, her sweeter, more relaxed side will emerge. With time and trust, she becomes comfortable enough to play and lounge, revealing her affectionate side. Having previously shared a room with several other cats, Velma has shown that she is able to be cat-friendly if given proper time for introductions. Litter box habits in her sister’s past adoptions suggest patience during the transition to a new home will be important, and a calm, understanding adopter will help her flourish. Ready to offer Velma the gentle companionship she craves? They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
