About Velma
Velma is a clever, protective cat who takes her time getting comfortable with new people. She’s a bit shy at first, but once Velma finds her footing, she settles in and lets her playful side show. With her sisters, she is just as spirited as any of them, but these days Velma only has Daphne by her side. Both girls are slow to adjust and need time and patience when navigating change. Loud noises, fast moves, or unfamiliar settings can make Velma anxious and hissy, but she soon relaxes once she feels safe. Her temperament is on the cautious side, so expect her to need a gentle approach. Velma currently shares a room with three other cats and does fine with them after a careful, unrushed introduction. She’s proved herself cat friendly in the right conditions but prefers things to move on her schedule. Reliable with the litter box in her current space, she may need a little patience during a home transition. Support and quiet encouragement will help her confidence blossom—and when it does, she’ll reward it with sprawling cat naps and moments of good-natured play. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
